Let users sign online documents, agreements, and forms with the mouse/touchpad right on your website!
The universal method of agreement authentication backed by centuries of tradition and jurisprudence, the handwritten signature, is now available online thanks to WebPen.
No more tedious scanning and faxing of documents. The paperless modern way is for your clients to sign online documents, agreements, or forms easily and instantly, right on your website, using the mouse as a pen. Making things easy for your clients makes good business sense!
Unlike other online document authentication schemes that are as cumbersome as they are confusing, WebPen is simply the traditional signature, drawn using the mouse or touchpad as an instrument. The extra security measures of SEA and ID upload, can be added at your option. WebPen is based upon a foundation of three principles - confirmation of user intent by means of the signature, association of the signed document with the signature by generation of a PDF and/or by using Signature Embedded Authentication, SEA, and confirmation of user identity by upload of an identification document. WebPen is the most reliable, easiest-to-use, agreement authentication technology available for the cloud, bar none!
PAPER DOCUMENTS = PAST ONLINE DOCUMENTS = FUTURE
WebPen is simple to use for the website visitor, just click and hold down the left mouse button, write the signature with the mouse, and submit. Signed documents are instantly redisplayed to the signer with the signature in place. WebPen includes easy-to-use upload capability so that supporting identification documents can be easily uploaded by the user.
A copy of the signed document in PDF and HTML format, with the signature as an image in .jpg format is stored on the server, along with the IP address of the signer and uploaded identification document. Notification of the signing can optionally be sent automatically by email.
WebPen uses Signature Embedded Authentication, to actually encode the name of the signer, the date of the signing, the IP address of the signer, and the HTML code of the signed document directly within the signature image, creating a positive association between the signature and the document. This information can be viewed using any software capable of displaying IPTC image metadata.
The WebPen signature box can be utilized on any HTML page or any page such as .php .jsp or .asp capable of displaying HTML code.
WebPen is super-easy to install requiring only the upload of one folder to the webserver. No Java, Flash, .Net, or any other add-on is required. WebPen runs natively in the browser, and is cross-browser compatible. There is little required configuration, but WebPen is highly configurable to meet the requirements of your particular application.
WebPen can handle high traffic volume, and is suitable for enterprise applications.
